Performance
All Subaru Forester models come with Symmetrical all-wheel drive for enhanced traction on icy or snow-packed roads. Wilderness trims have 9.2 inches of ground clearance, a skid plate, and all-terrain tires that enable them to crawl through canyons or ford streams. Each Forester trim comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. When properly equipped, the Forester returns 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
Design
The Subaru Forester has a handsome, rugged appearance, with chunky lines and rounded wheel arches. Its bold mesh grille is framed by angular headlights with distinctive LED inserts. 17-inch steel wheels, black cladding, and available roof rails complete its go-anywhere look.
Inside, the Subaru Forester is uncluttered and orderly, with tasteful styling and easy-to-reach controls. Base models have cloth seats, but leather or water-resistant StarTex® upholstery is available. There's ample head- and legroom in the Forester, which also has up to 74.2 cubic feet of cargo space to store your road trip supplies or camping equipment.
Technology
It's a breeze to control the Subaru Forester's STARLINK Multimedia system while you're driving. Its clear graphics, easily navigable menus, and physical buttons and knobs make it simple to operate. The Forester comes standard with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, but an 8-inch display is available. Support for Android Auto and Apple Carplay also comes standard in the Forester.
